This is the official fiction for all our story driven events.

From 1979 to 1991, General Secretary Ivan Cvetkovic led the Soviet Federal Republic of Savonia with an iron fist, suppressing ethnic separatist movements under his regime. His death in 1991 sparked a brutal war within the country. In 1995, the UN and NATO intervened, ending the conflict and separating the warring nation-states:

  • Tarkovia, now a monarchy under King Petar Tarkovic, a former freedom fighter

  • Vostria, a Communist country, home of the former Savonian government

The worst of the fighting centered on a region called Kalkov Pass - a series of passes through the mountains that once divided Savonia. Tarkovia was given the region by NATO as the Kalkov Pass Administrative Area. Since 1995 they have policed the area, fighting partisans and militias in hopes of stabilizing the region.

April 20, 2025: After years of resistance to the Tarkovian state within the Kalkov Pass Administrative Area, the Kalkov Liberation Front seizes control of the Tarkovian village Kadan and declares it, and Kalkov Pass, to be Vostrian territory.

From this point on, it’s your story.

May 3, 2025: A light recon unit composed of several Tarkovian Guard units, lead by General Slavco Moyestevic, makes initial contact with KLF forces in Južni Prolaz - ‘The South Pass’. The KLF, unexpectedly well-armed and organized, manages to hold the pass against the Tarkovians. Kadan remains in the hands of the Kalkov Liberation Front.

April 11th 2026: Trakovian Rangers and Engineers mounted an assault into Južni Prolaz after a reconnaissance helicopter was shot down. They captured surface to air missile platforms, recoilless rifle positions and the entirety of the pass before being stopped at the village of Kadan.

  • Tarkovian Rangers: Turkish Nano M2021 with black beret. Harness and or chest rig preferred over Plate Carrier

    All other Forces: Multi-cam

  • Special Operations: Tiger Stripe

    Standard Issue for Infantry: M81

  • Subdued, solid color civilian clothes.

June 27th 2026: Trakovian special operatives take and hold key structures in the city of Kadan. Unable to locate their missing pilot, they make a daring attempt to storm the city’s jail but were unsuccessful in the extraction. Probing attacks go all night but no substantial progress is made. The casualties from the fighting are too much for Vostria to bear. Civilians and KLF alike are killed in the raid. Vostria officially enters the war.
